April Showers

It actually started the end of March, and no I'm not referring to the rain. March 27th we threw a baby shower and BBQ for a neighbor couple. They were having their first baby and "mom" was kinda shy about having all the attention so we decided to get together with some couples from the ward to have a "couple" shower. It was for guys, girls, and kids. Just a fun BBQ but with baby gifts. It turned out really well. All of those invited came and talked, laughed, and played for the evening. I guess we need another excuse to have a party. There are 3 other pregnant women in the neighborhood but it's their 3rd, 4th, or 5th babies...can we still have showers just to have fun? Then on April 4th we had Amber's bridal shower with the family. Mom (Jan) has the perfect room in her basement for these parties and they turn out so great. For the baby shower Mom and I made a diaper cake that turned out so cute but of course we forgot to take pictures. Then mom did a spin off of the idea and made a kitchen towel cake for Amber. Shower's are so much work but can be so fun.
