So the weekend after Thanksgiving Staci and Oaklan caught a cold. It was a nasty cold and it has lingered with them until now. It's that type of cold where your sinuses are full and you have a deep cough. Staci can take cold medicine. It's so sad to have a sick baby who can't take anything. So mid December when Oaklan's stuffy nose turned into a rattling, wheezing cough Staci took him to the doctor. She was told that it was Viral Bronchitis and all we could do was use Saline in his nose, run the humidifier, and they did give us a dosage of Musinex to try to break up the stuff in his chest. Well, it really hasn't done anything, he just keeps coughing and has that stuffy nose. He has never ran a fever. New Years Day he started coughing alot more than normal. Then the day after New Years he all of the sudden started wheezing really bad like he was having an asthma attack. We ran down to "Urgent Care" at the doctors office. It didn't take them too long to get us back into a room. The doctor could hear him as soon as he walked in the room. He asked me why my pediatrician hadn't ran any tests to see what he had the first time I came in. He told me that he needed a breathing treatment, steroids, and that they could run the tests to see if it was RSV.

So we ended up at the doctors office for 2 1/2 hours while we did the tests and had the treatment. He doesn't have RSV which is the good news, but we did get sent home with a Nebulizer. He has been on Nebulizer treatments every 4 hours and he had steroids for 3 days. He seems to be doing pretty good now, he does start wheezing when we play alot. But compared to what he was, he is doing much better. He falls asleep when we give him the treatments. One day we had just came home and he was still asleep in his car seat so we started a treatment while he slept.
