Polenta Dinner 2011

Brian's family is Italian and I think I have mentioned the Trentini's before.  They are a group of Italian's from the Trentini region.  We are part of the Trentini Organization and we get to participate in a few activities together during the year.  One of them is the annual Polenta dinner.  This is something that Brian looks forward to, but Staci doesn't.

Polenta: (pō-lĕn') n. A thick mush made of cornmeal boiled in water or stock.
[Italian, from Latin, crushed grain, barley meal.]

Basically we pay to eat a dinner that only Brian really likes.  But since he doesn't get to make it for us as a family we can afford to let him enjoy it once and awhile.  They serve Polenta like they would Mashed Potatoes.  We get Roast Beef, Italian Sausage with Sauerkraut, and Polenta with gravy.

After dinner we have a DJ and a dance.  We always have to do the Chicken Dance.  It's required.  Fortunately, I didn't get any pictures of that!
