Big Boy Toy!

So I have posted about how we always borrow Brian's parents travel trailer for the reunion's we attend during the summer. It's a good, well taken care of trailer. It was built in the 80's but has everything you need, but with two small children it gets kinda small. The table folds down into a bed and it has a couch that folds down to a bed and that's it. So Kennedy sleeps on the table, we sleep on the couch and we had the baby on the floor just because I didn't trust that Kennedy wouldn't force him to roll off the bed. While we were using it at the Greenwell reunion we talked about the possibilities of maybe talking Brian's parents into upgrading the trailer to a little bit bigger model and we would go in on the extra cost since we use the trailer more than they do. Then while we were at the Greenwell family reunion Staci's aunt mentioned she wanted to sell hers. It still didn't have alot of room and was still an older 80's model. After we came home from the reunion we started watching trailers on KSL.com and found that you can get an older 80's model for a couple thousand dollars but they go really fast. If you can spend a little bit more there is a big difference in the way they are built and you end up getting alot more. So then we started looking at our finances and found out the RV loans can be put on 10 year loans so our payments are super cheap and then we found out you can also claim the interest because it's a second home. There wasn't alot that stopped us from deciding to buy our own. We watched KSL everyday and looked at a couple of models, found out what styles we liked and knew what we were looking for. We debated about a couple of them but ended up buying this one. It has a full queen bed in the back and then a table and a couch that turn into beds so there is one more bed than before. But it also has the slide in it that gives us so much more room. We can use the floor if we need to. Hopefully we get alot of use out of it now. We are planning to use it for the upcoming Verne's family reunion and then we will plan a few more trips this summer. It's kinda fun to buy Big Boy Toys. We decided it was an investment for our family and hopefully we will make great memories with it.
